Portrait of a Woman

I met Kathy on my 18th birthday as sorority sisters, kickstarting our college journey. Initially I thought she was too cool for me – “I’ll never be friends with that girl” I thought. Fast forward, we are both art majors, spending endless hours on projects. I helped her study, working through troubles with dyslexia. Despite our differences we became an inseparable pair. 46 years later, we’re still dear friends, celebrating our friendship “anniversary” with trips. Our lives went different ways, yet there’s always been respect for our unique paths. Our friendship endures, one of the most rewarding aspects of my life. I am grateful to live just a half-hour away, making it easy to keep this incredible bond going.
